Gorinchem, a historic fortified city and part of the New Dutch Waterline, reached a major milestone with its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 26, 2021. The municipality is not only proud of its rich history but is also taking ambitious steps in the digital transformation of its services. The collaboration between the Municipality of Gorinchem and SLTN began several years ago with a public tender. At that time, the municipality faced the challenge of replacing outdated hardware while also implementing future-proof solutions. Under SLTN\u2019s leadership, the municipality has realized a highly advanced ICT environment. This includes two fully mirrored data centers operating with a DHC function (Dynamic Hosting Cluster), making the infrastructure scalable and easily expandable when needed.<\/p>\n
Another highlight is the integration of HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise)<\/strong> technology and Rubrik<\/strong> solutions. According to Martin Bouw, Account Manager at SLTN, HPE was the perfect match for Gorinchem due to its strong integration with Rubrik and the extensive functionality it provides.<\/p>\n \u201cThe new system not only offers stability for the coming years but also a central portal that allows the ICT team to work more efficiently,\u201d says Bouw.<\/p>\n Gorinchem is known as a municipality that dares to innovate, despite having a relatively small ICT team. The team often experiments with new solutions, and SLTN consistently provides the right expertise to support these projects. From enhanced cybersecurity to new features for end users, the partnership has already delivered many tangible results.<\/p>\n \u201cWith SLTN, we found a partner that not only innovates but also works closely with our team to develop customized solutions,\u201d says Van Leeuwen.<\/p>\n Thanks to the modernization of its ICT systems, the Municipality of Gorinchem can now look to the future with confidence.
